The gameplay of Dishonored GotY is not quite as smooth as Dishonored 2, but it still very engaging most notably, non-lethal play is more difficult in D1 than in D2. Still, the plot of this title, Dishonored GotY , is more involved and enjoyable good twists, more hours of play and also seems fairer in Dishonored GotY we aren’t held hostage to impossibly low supplies of ammo, ultra-sensitive chaos levels, or gotta-catchem-all runes and bonecharms it still helps to hunt them all down, but it’s easier to get by without them.

These last two go a long way to humanizing Daud the NPC who orchestrated the original “dishonor” becomes the PC for these expansions, so we see the world he shattered through his own eyes. The Outsider appears throughout D1 but is much more wooden than in D2. Still, his character is fairly solid overall. Having now played the third D3 installment, I can say this series is almost perfect. I wish I’d played D1 Goty , then D2, then D3, but, in honesty, they are all brilliant and worth our tens of dollars.

The themes here both artistic and narrative are enticing and I wish the world were more open. Still, D1 feels more “free” as to how any given objective can be tackled. I haven’t played D3 yet, so, I can’t comment on it, but I can say that D1 is very likely the high-water mark of all the first efforts, with the Knife of Dunwall and Brigamore Witches being great prequels for D2. Great stuff!

If you liked the old Thief sneakers, this is the game for you. You play in the first person and are endowed with some rather amazing abilities but the game makes up for your special powers with tougher scenarios.

As you gain experience, you are given the option of acquiring new, or enhancing existing, abilities. Combat is swift and exciting but, as with a good sneaker, the avoidance of fighting is its own reward.

The game actually adjusts its conclusion for the amount of mayhem you inflict on a very deserving police force. The story rescue the princess is compelling and the characters are engaging. There’s much to distract you from play as the authors of this game have populated it with many items to make it more realistic. You don’t have to read the books or talk to that many characters but you have the option to dawdle a bit. Replay is definitely warranted as you’ll try to play the various missions in different styles just for the fun of it.

I could not find a way to disable the many cutscenes, though, which get tiresome after a while. Anyway, highly recommended for sneaker fans. Much fun! This game came to my attention as I as browsing thru Amazon’s games. This came to my eye and I noted the game of the year version had all the DLC contend with it and I decided to check it out. Since most of my games are activated on Steam, I checked on Steam and found that it had good reviews and seemed like a good bet.

I ordered it and got it in as ordered. Activated it on Steam and when the download was finished cranked it up to take a look.

My first impression was not a bad game, but the graphics were a bit dated. I did have a bit of trouble getting used to the game controls. It did work with my X-Box but the layout was a bit different than I was used to.

The controller worked just the buttons assignments were a bit different for me. This isn’t a bad game that I’ll really need to work at a bit to see. Not a bad game. I’ve wanted this game for a very long time and was so happy to play it. Game keeps you on the edge of your seat and many times I found myself falling off of things because I forgot I wasn’t on ground level. I haven’t played the extra content but the game itself surpassed my expectations.

I would recommend anyone wondering if they should or shouldn’t purchase to do so. At the price it was, it was far too good a deal to pass up even without the extra content.

This game is a fun one. You cant got wrong by buying it if you have a really large amount of money to spend. It’s just got a big problem. It is a 30 hour game 30 hour game. That’s a very short game. I recommend it to people who can afford to buy 30 hour games. I am poor so I look for games like Skyrim and Fallout 4. One person found this helpful. I bought this recently so I could play all three in order.

– Dishonored game of the year edition pc

You fool! You didn’t actually buy the excellent first-person sneak ‘n stabber Dishonored, did you? As always, the fiscally sensible read: boring thing to do was wait for this: the Game of the Year edition, which has, with all the tedious inevitability of an Outsider encounter, just been announced.

Of course, if you were really fiscally sensible read: really boring , you wouldn’t be buying games at all. And who wants to be that guy? You’ll also get the slightly problematic pre-order pack “Void Walker’s Arsenal”, which collects up all the in-game bonuses that were offered to early buyers, balance be damned.
