My microphone driver’s also missing upon checking the Sounds in Control Panel; also tried to install external microphone but still can’t hear any input audio. Hiya, I have exactly the same issue. However, remarkably, my laptop was the subject of a major update overnight, and it took ages to work itself through, and to my amzement, there must have been a fix because all of a sudden my microphone now works! Thanks everyone. I am glad to know that you managed to resolve the issue.
